Hi Andrea, Yes, all the kids on the XC team wear the same shoes, I didn't think anything of that until you miotenned it. I'll have to look at the high school team at the next meet and see if they have the same ones on as well. They're only allowed to wear them for the meets. They have the metal spikes that screw into the bottom of them; I couldn't believe how lite they are too, I'm sure they don't even way 1lb together. During their practices, they just wear their regular running shoes.
